Springfield head coach Eric Gillespie, Tecumseh head coach Kent Massie, Kenton Ridge head coach Joel Marratta, Northwestern head coach Seth Whiting, Northeastern head coach Scott Rolf, and Southeastern head coach Greg Bonifay appeared on the show. In addition, numerous players from Southeastern, Northeastern, and Kenton Ridge appeared on the show.

High school football kicks off Friday, and Top Billing Sports will cover it like no one else this season.
Football returns for its second season on the Top Billing Sports Network, our online streaming radio station. We’ll have the call of 11 games this season, with Springfield and Northmont prominently featured as both squads compete for the GWOC Central title and a playoff berth in the new Division I, Region II.
Our coverage begins tomorrow night with the second season of the Clark County Coaches Show at Rudy’s Smokehouse Barbeque. It’ll be a special two-hour high school football preview show with guests from Springfield, Tecumseh, Northwestern, and Urbana. MASON — Kenton Ridge head coach Sarah Ivory didn’t know what exactly sparked a five-hit, six-run first inning in the Cougars’ 6-2 win over Greenville in a Division II regional final game on Saturday. But if the Cougars are superstitious, they may want to nap on the drive from Springfield to Akron this Friday.
“They all took naps on the bus,” Ivory said after game on Saturday. “I looked back there and they were all laying down. So maybe we’ll have to lay down all the way to Akron.”
The win was the 19th consecutive victory for Kenton Ridge and it earned the Cougars their first regional title in ten years. The Cougars will face Granville in a Division II state semifinal game on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Firestone Stadium in Akron. [Read more…]
