Trojans make 13 foul shots in overtime to earn 79-71 win over Fort Loramie.
DAYTON — Jake Bertemes took his anger out on a chair on Southeastern’s bench early in overtime on Thursday. Bertemes, a senior guard, had fouled out after scoring 33 points while his team nursed a three-point lead. He repeatedly hit the chair and yelled while Fort Loramie rejoiced at his departure.
But even with Bertemes on the bench in the game’s final minutes, the Redskins still couldn’t stop Southeastern’s scoring. That’s because Fort Loramie committed seven fouls over the game’s last three minutes and sent Southeastern to the free-throw line.
