Mechanicsburg can’t stop Botkins
Botkins advances to face Fort Loramie in sectional final.
PIQUA – The hot-shooting Botkins Trojans defeated the Mechanicsburg Indians 56-36 in a sectional semifinal on Tuesday night at Piqua High School.
The Trojans made ten three-point field goals (eight in first half) as they quickly got out to a lead and never looked back. Heath Geyer of Botkins scored 18 points scored along with nine rebounds. Geyer shot 4 of 5 from behind the three-point line.
Piqua DIV Sectional: Botkins edges Fort Loramie
PIQUA — A loud and very big crowd saw Botkins pull out a 50-49 win over Fort Loramie in the second game at Piqua High School in the first round of the Division IV sectional tournament. Botkins (10-11) moves on to play No. 2 seed Russia this Tuesday, Feb. 28.
