Yellow Jackets’ size too much for Lady Hillclimbers
URBANA– The balanced attack combined with inside dominance gave Sidney a 68-42 non-conference victory on the road at Urbana High School on Monday night. At the half, Taborn already had six points and 10 rebounds while Hudson had produced 12 points and six rebounds.
Urbana came out in a box-and-one on Hudson, who came in leading the Greater Western Ohio Conference in scoring with 23 points per game. Long-time Urbana head coach Bill Moss paid tribute to his opponent, “They are a very good and they took it to us,” said Moss. “That is our offense, the inside game, and they took it away from us. We didn’t shoot it well from the outside, and we couldn’t stop them on the inside.”
Sidney head coach Megan Mummey was pleased with her team’s ability to make the perimeter shots. “Usually the guards struggle from the outside so it was nice to have that tonight,” said Mummey.” “I was happy with our team’s effort tonight and this gives us a chance to see different teams, different looks.”
For Urbana (5-3), Hunter Rogan finished with 14 points and eight rebounds while battling foul-trouble. Braxton Rogan finished with ten points.
