Dick Groeber’s weekend football weather forecast for the Springfield, Ohio area for September 18.
After two weekends of rain and thunderstorms, it appears that the Friday evening high school football contests will likely be played under partly to mostly cloudy skies with no rain. However, the wind could be a concern as some gusts are expected. The temperatures should be comfortable by the 7:00 p.m. kickoff time in the middle to the upper 70’s.
The schedule for Friday, September 18, 2015 includes:
The Springfield Wildcats hosting Miamisburg
Graham is at the Tecumseh Arrows
The Shawnee Braves travel to Northwestern
The Greenon Knights host the Kenton Ridge Cougars
West-Liberty Salem travels to Northeastern
Southeastern hosts the Catholic Central Irish.
For Saturday, September the 19th, 2015, the weather conditions will show a cold frontal passage possibly during the late morning or the afternoon accompanied by rain showers, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and temperatures in the 70s to around 80 degrees. This will likely cause wet fields.
The Ohio State Buckeyes hosts the Northern Illinois Huskies for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
The Wittenberg Tigers host the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops for a 7: 00 p.m. kickoff. The rain should be over by then. However, the wind could still be a factor with a game time temperature in the lower to middle 70s.
I hope you enjoy the games and see a victory!
