DAYTON — Mason had lost two consecutive district final games, but the Comets finally broke through on Saturday at UD Arena. Though Centerville held a slim lead at halftime, Mason regained controlled in the third quarter and pulled away in the fourth to a 44-38 win.
The Elks led 23-21 at halftime, but cold shooting in the second half doomed their chances. Centerville made just 2 of 11 three-point shots from the floor. Donnie Shelton led the Elks with 13 points, 11 of which in the first half. Keegan Saben added 12 points. [Read more…]
