Cincinnati Christian hits seven key free throws to pull ahead of Southeastern.
DAYTON — Cincinnati Christian took command down the stretch and won 54-52 over Southeastern in the last of three Division IV district finals on Friday at UD Arena. The Cougars used a 7-2 run — with all seven points coming at the free-throw line — to take a lead in the fourth quarter against Southeastern.
Cincinnati Christian put the game away with a late basket. Southeastern turned the ball over on a three-second violation with about 20 seconds left, and after a timeout, the Trojans put a full-court press on Cincinnati Christian on the inbounds pass. But Christian Keese broke the press and was wide open under the basket, and Brady Roberts saw and threw a pass to him. Keese laid the basket off the glass with about 10 seconds left. [Read more…]
